“While Microbiology may seem like an advanced topic that only high schoolers and college students should be able to learn about, I had numerous elementary schoolers attend my class and they asked phenomenal questions!” - Jay Iyer, Instructor
My son and daughter both signed up for the Chess class. They absolutely loved it! The instructor Ronak Wakhlu was amazing! He did an excellent job teaching the class. He made it easy for beginners to understand the concept of chess. He made the class fun and interactive! Highly recommend this class to any one who wants to learn or improve their chess skills! - Rashmi Gupta, Parent
My kids enjoyed the Chess class and every class built the interest and confidence in them. They were introduced to every piece one by one and learned how to use them using practice sessions. They became so confident that they challenged me couple of times, based on the confidence they got from playing in the Chess class. - Monika Wadhwa, Parent
“My near-11 year old (going to 6th grade from coming Fall) loved it so much that he explained and ran his code (Python) to every family member who would listen (including myself and his grandparents!).” - Joyoni Dey, Parent
"A thoroughly enjoyable class! The instructor made valuable connections to modern microbiology research concerning the current coronavirus, was very concise, and was able to answer all questions in depth." - Samantha Esselstyn, Student
Hello Helm Teachers,
Thanks for wonderful classes. Looks like these classes may change the course of my son's life :-).
This was pre-Neuroscience, which he took May 25-29, but when [my son]'s teacher asked them all to mention their career-paths, he produced the attached powerpoint [above] -- he had always wanted to be a doctor (motivated to help people with heart problems, seeing his grand-father's cardiac problems) but now Astrophysics figures strongly as also does coding. He does not know where Arduino fits in, but loves it and does it on the kit I got from Amazon.
Neuroscience of course competes strongly with Physics :-).
Thanks all, again, I wish in my life I had this kind of exposure, but as it stands, thanks for giving the son a wonderful tantalizing glimpse into the areas you all are so passionate about.
